Stadium food gets fancy Aug 14, 2008 Colts fans will have a wide array of food to choose from at Lucas Oil Stadium with a greater selection of concessions. But at a price. Lucas Oil Stadium will offer a wider selection of food at more locations than the RCA Dome, but prices on a few concession staples will increase slightly. It's difficult to compare food prices in the stadium to those at the dome because many of the items are new. However, the cost of jumbo pretzels, hot dogs and draft beer all will increase by 25 cents. A 20-ounce soft drink now will cost $4, versus $3.50 at the dome, while the prices of nachos and bottled water remain the same. The stadium will have more than 30 different food items. Fans seated in suites or at club level will have even more choices via a rotating menu. The food Network would be proud to feature this menu. Fans will still find the old standbys like hot dogs and giant pretzels. But there are also gourmet sausages and and pan-seared salmon.
Looking
for something exotic on the palate? There's seared roast beef and
roasted duck salad.
There are
also giant turkey clubs with apple smoked bacon and cheese from
Traders Point, a Zionsville-based organic farm. For those watching their waistlines, there are plenty of salads with fresh ingredients. If you're indulging, check out the Circle City Chili Bar and something called the Three Little Pigs slider.
